Love and peace in times of hate and war: A poem

There has always been war and always been hate in time

Human history is replete with the failure to be sublime

We are seized with the need to secure complete domination

over our neighbours; that is the dishonorable pursuit of nations

How are we to manifest comeuppance when the wicked hold sway?

Are we to suffer in silence and conclude that this is the only way?

To subjugate ourselves when we believe we are lesser in strength

And let the criminals run amok and go to impermissible lengths

We must actually be intransigent to the ones that abuse power when

it is a singular injustice to ourselves to tolerate corrupt men

War must not be a matter of race or nation, but be personalised against evil

Every individual must stand up for it with all his resolute will

Love the deserving and resist those who constantly justice decimate

It is not any folly then to be prejudiced, to hate or discriminate

To do this bonafide is the ultimate journey of making peace with oneself

That is the sublimation to our calling, in which our souls must revel

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
