Tell me, O seer: A poem

Tell me, O seer

at what do you peer?

My life is in shambles

I am lost in the brambles

Tell me, O seer

what can I hold so dear?

My heart is broken

From grief I haven’t awoken

The leaves are dry again

It’s overcast, but there’s no rain

The bird doesn’t sing

It has a broken wing

The tide is not full

The sun has gone cool

The dogs do not bark

Days hunger like a shark

Will the crystal’s voice

give the dusk a choice?

I have paid your price

Is it worth the dice?

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
