On the streetside, beggar’s crap and snot
Civilisation is a crowded parking lot
The road hog drives with eyes bloodshot
A teenager’s break is smoking pot
Children love with apps in their hand
Survival is stodgy with greed in its glands
The sucker ducks to a posse of packages
Hide your convictions, as we return to Dark Ages
Kick concern like a wrapper on the street
The politician’s promise is not gluten-free wheat
His miracle happens to be a beast with no teeth
The world is racing, but morality has no feet
Religion is abstract, but it still draws the lines
To confront an affront, manmade wars are the fines
Technology is breaking records with telling signs
that redundancy is how the future shines
The clarion call is to decry oppressive autocracy
But there is no circumspection of the hidden oligarchy
For, the plebiscite is division by advocacy
We can also get sore teeth from all this democracy
The poor are poorer, but poverty is in the soul
of the wealthy who only have a conscience for selfish goals
The Axis of Evil may be a tag for the seeming villain
But beguiling hypocrisy is the habit of self-proclaimed righteous men
too good
