Regaining love: A poem

I never questioned fate

with the lion at my gate

The unicorn’s feather weight

is my lifelong engine’s freight

I have saved each day’s patience

each year’s indiscriminate silence

Decades have given me the licence

to roll out the carpets for brilliance

I am the motto of spirits that weave

multitudes of fanfare like the leaves

There is no oblivion in lucid dreams

of a creation lost and forgotten, it seems

They come and go in destined moments

Saved in bytes of my soul. These comments.

I know the truth is in the love that I lost

that I vowed to regain, with rebirth, at any cost

The love of eternity is in that destiny

The music of providence was in the mutiny

against powers that tore, to shreds, our love

The prerogative of seeking and finding the dearest is all above

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
