Dad’s birthday, Mum’s Day: A poem

All those beautiful eternal flowers

in those timeless treasure-filled hours

Dewdrops in laughter’s vacation

A seeming lifelong childhood’s infusion

All of it so delicately gift-wrapped

in fountains and springs of love tapped

There is an additional letter in the alphabet

that is the emblem of a warm nest’s set

Every day is Dad’s birthday

Every month is Mother’s May

Even God’s minnows are magic

They are Samaritans in the traffic

The real vessel of largesse

in the hands of the poor provider rests

You gifted us that selflessness’ lesson

Acts and deeds are the Tree of Life’s resin

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
