I waited long and hard for you: A poem

You tell me, to my joy, that I am yours

I have been toiling hard, with all fours

But never did I beg or knock on doors

The unicorn always heeded to the lion’s roars

I fell like Alice into a time warp’s rabbit hole

The lost and desolate millennia, out in the cold

Nor red carpets for lonely me were rolled

Perceval learns blood and sweat’s wisdom is gold

Even the highest mountains can’t touch the sky

But in earth and fire our joint destinies lie

There’s air that’s fair in the humblest clayware

Jupiter is very benevolent, he is no snare

And we can stretch our arms all the way to Neptune

The legends are no myths, if we understand the tune

I had my work cut out for me, so I didn’t cast the rune

This endless hopeful waiting for you and fortune

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
