Stick by dignity (Dear Sisters): A poem

You are sidelined because you don’t have two faces

You have worked hard and touched dedication’s bases

You may wonder how the callous snub of fortune races

even though you had your head in all the right places

There is no gesture for idealism; idealism locked horns

A straightforward anathema for the ones with the con

You wore no mask weighing reward’s pros and cons

Yet, the incorruptible shipwreck on every lost island is reborn

Your cutlery is stolen, your fabric is ripped before it’s woven

You feel the burn out like something burnt out in the oven

The milk has curdled and there’s nothing else to drink

You have felt disillusionment that noble ideals always sink

Let it be! Never mind! The acts and deeds are well defined

Staunch are honour and dignity, even if not in cash and kind

There is never an honest soul lost; the gumption will find

a lasting impression and place in the most divine mind

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
