A warning to the one I love: A poem

All these lifetimes in humility’s umbrage

This composure, even as evil got coverage

And this lifetime, where history repeats

Its deep cuts on my armoured skin and feet

I am supple and endless, resilient and fearless

My foundations are underpinned by strength peerless

I have counted each particle of the infinite universe

in this wait, a never-ending wait for destiny’s justice

We all have loyalties, but mine I compromised

thinking full circles will come around at paradise

My marks have been replete with too much sacrifice

You wanted that of me, I thought it should suffice

But this immense pain is welling within me

And I can’t be so patient with all this defeat

You decide your choices NOW! Please see

that I can’t cop so much. Of you I’ll be free

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
