Open the blinds, the choice is mine: A poem

I open the blinds

to bright shine

to clear the rust in my veins

and the keratin in my nails

Even heat can be chilling

when the will is not willing

So, I’ll throw the shadows out,

the shadows of doubt

Being what I want to be

is determined clear-sighted me

I may cross swords

with the wind on the roads

If you come with a prospect

I’ll pay you my respect

But the choice is mine

What you have for me, I’ll forget in time

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
