Since, I was not alone: A poem

I remember that humid July

The streamers floated across the sky

And a blazing flame caught my eye

I remember there was hush across the street

And I had my happiness tucked so neat

through my soul, and felt my pulsebeat repeat

There was no rain, but I smelt the showers

In every nook and corner, there were flowers

And I first felt the benevolence of powers

And, thus, I wrote in blood on my body’s stone

This moment of momentum set the tone

That, from this day, I was not alone

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
