Blind faith in the truth of you: A poem

The reality of you contrasts with the truth of you

But I know my imagination will always hold true

I take all your ruthless stones and soothing feathers

And am proud that I have weathered all the weathers

The idea of you is much like a reassuring soothing breeze

A simplification of all the commotion among the trees

That presence is all the strength I need in my knees

There is more in you than the seeming storm in the seas

I have belief and knowledge that my gravity is you

and the telling rocket fuel that launches me too

We are binaries exchanging passion in distance and silence

A fire can scorch earth, but there’s rejuvenation in such violence

There is always hope for the warrior that never says die

I don’t see the rainbow, but never did once ask you why

Patience is a desert’s oasis, where the persevering lie

Blind faith is wizardry that sees farther than the sky
