Finding treasure in you: A poem

King penguin and Arctic Tern may not be at the same pole

But acid and alkali confluence in my soul

My litmus is both blue and red

when in your magic I bury my head

You are the stock in my stew

You are the pilot, I am your crew

I have premonition, and believe it’s true

That the universe is ours, for me and you

I have feelings stronger than emotion

A tide forms from gravity’s motion

A rose kissed me on my lips

Time froze and destiny tripped

A galactic flare has emblazoned my mind

I am sure that God is very kind

The receding waves will leave behind

a veritable treasure trove for us to find
