I don’t melt like wax, God, please relax!
I never ever get stopped in my tracks
I am clay, but clay that doesn’t shatter
This is in reassurance to my dear potter
I cling to the ledges; don’t snap like wedges
I laugh heartily when I’m on testing edges
My strength, at any length, has no dent
I was made to sweat; I kept on and went
When I was in a spot, I wisely thought
it’s just the way it is, don’t get baffled by rot
Duty is what I simply never ever forgot
I don’t get bought; they can’t take me for what I’m not
I wouldn’t deny, it’s pretty difficult to be me
with the raging storms and turbulent sea
I am like a steam engine, relentlessly puffing on
But its tireless run plays to God’s immaculate song
too good Monte
