I know what I am: A poem

My life is in camouflage on my soul’s walls

with the colour and erudition of university halls

Wisdom’s fluoride shines my teeth

My bread is made from intuition’s wheat

Astute stars are abuzz in my skies

They are little illuminations like fireflies

I feel like a school bus full of kids

with laughter exploding in their ribs

If stealth be your gait and your bait be wealth,

with every such man, I have bravely dealt

The word of God gives me my health

In his sanctum sanctorum, I have knelt

Integrity gives hope, and greed lies cremated

The bliss of morality has my soul animated

And, in my waning years, I will always cheer

that goodness, to me, was utmost dear

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
