Letter to the devil: A poem

You are mighty, I am almighty

You can never catch me in my nightie

I can tell you in blood and black and whitey

Your plight is light but not delightey

I am live wire, giving lies to the liar

I have faced all the consequences, indeed, dire

You think you can sink God with your quagmire?

Your heart can bet the warrior never did tire

I have walked through fire, copped the ire

You can count on my bravery to be your pyre

The river of devilry can find its way through the plains

But be sure it has to flee the mountains
