I wasn’t left, but I was left bereft: A poem

I wouldn’t spike a dyke

But she is not what I could like

And Penny Wong, your blatant song

is all so very, very wrong

Jim Chalmers, do you have any charm?

You’re so cocksure as if you have an extra arm

And Richard Marles thinks he knows defence

Between UK and China, does it make any sense?

Did you even think that God loves Labor?

The left always has an evil cleft

You can be assured I’d rather be a mess

because I made Labor win under duress

I didn’t want to press the button for Dutton

And I know who was behind the Aries pattern

God and I are patient. We know the bull, and know the wool

And I am sublime, but I am no fool

And I have no wish to love fish

But my Jashmina was my soul-felt wish

There’s so much sacrifice in my dish

Because all Prakash, the devil, wants to do is eat and relish

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
