I’m not just bipolar: A poem

I’m not just bipolar

This should be a much polarised world

We aren’t brethren with aliens

The UN is ugly and dysfunctional

Multilateralism is the essence of our diversity

We are goblins, gnomes, imps, pixies and elves,

strung in twelve dimensions. There are four directions,

five elements. Not just heart and guts,

Two sides don’t make democracy legitimate. Or just

phase it out. Or there should only be Kings.

We were once homo.

The fish-god-men who came from the deep sea

made us sapiens. I can vouch for the fact

that there are no bridges over the oceans

No colour of skin that matches another.

There are twelve signs of the zodiac

A long, long, long time ago,

the singularity was broken by the nutcracker of the evil one

Ever since there has been war

like history repeating itself

We can’t be one, we can’t be universal love

For, it is the evil that will take us all in our unity

So, our walls must stay to keep the wicked one at bay

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
