The Garden of Ram; Bagram: A poem

I remember the Ramayan

took place in ancient Afghanistan

And Ravan (Prakash Saint Paul)’s abode was the now Pakistan

‘Ere I, Ram, took my stand!

And my Sita (Jashmina) who was kidnapped from me

How I fought so hard to set her free?!!

Though we are just meant to be, what we are meant to be

That we are torn apart, can we decry the hand of destiny?!

And now, Donald Trump is asking back for Bagh (Garden) ram

The legacy and inheritance, I never asked back for my selfless arms

Do you know who deserves it all?…The one who eternally answered duty’s call

And he doesn’t want even a penny in return; but yet he stands tall!
