`Ere he was Atlas: A poem

The diamonds shine for him

He doesn’t count them on his chest

He is too busy lifting

There is Paradise in the gifting!

even if eternity is duty

Everybody is skywalking

But they can all do the talking

He bears the burden; silence never breaking

He bears a burden never forsaking

Is Jupiter the saviour calling?

Is the wall between us falling?

I think we have finally won!

Atlas has come to the sun!
