What would you, please…?: A poem

I can tell you that there can be darkness

in a hallway with all the lights on

That you can feel ever so confident

of your step, and still be blind

That the universe of your aspirations

only displays your utter poverty

That you may have been a veteran thespian

but still never have acted out your part

That you may have learnt no wisdom

from all the ages that you spent

You may feel like King Solomon

passing judgement, but may have never judged yourself!

You may have written reams of paper

but they could only be worth beneath the toilet seat

And if you have only nothing said

but you have only walked a passive tread,

you may have left immaculate imprints

on the never crumbling stones of eternity

You may have been a mere flightless bird

but may have had your ink on the stars

Humility is braver in every way than those

who impose their words on others with their swords

You may have never known any God-claiming religion

but may have known God better with your silent soul

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
