We could be at an end or beginning: A poem

You may figure out if the universe

is alone; and beyond it, nothingness

But you may reckon that there could be

tiny specks of photons in a vacuum

intelligent enough to turn energy into form and life

In Jainism, it is believed that

we can all ultimately become Gods,

after seemingly endless cycles of reincarnating,

responsible for our own creation

Is creation the ultimate act, not justice?

I have the propensity not to discriminate,

but for the one(s) who want to take it all away from me

if I discriminate and not forgive him (them)

So, is my time on earth such a paradise or prison?

The watermark is climbing higher

The noises are growing louder

And we may be destined to abide by the law of selfishness

Could I change the world in one stroke?

But I am patient with the disparate

Because there is a tyranny of evil that attempts to

defeat those who wish to sequester it in the place it belongs

I am neither fish nor moon

But will there be an end soon?

Or will we still think we are middled at noon?

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
