Mother, you could become my tomorrow
Though, it was only yesterday
that you passed away
And the unrelenting tollway since,
was marked by unshed tears
Even as days seem like years
and years seem to pass like days
I can depend on a few lessons from you
like the one that goes: There is little redressal obtained
from undressing one’s grief
Yet, I know there is always a construction underway
and it is not a mere child’s lego
I can believe that my home still finds character
in its austere poverty
Like I know how wealthy you were
in not expecting anything in return
It is credit to your dignity
that I don’t wash my linen publicly
I simply wield the most platonic toiletry
You know if the sun came smiling at me today
I’d say I feel your breath in my hair
The jingle of a star in the ears of a cosmonaut
who was not looking for anything beyond
a little distance away from earth
so beautiful Bro . wonderful lines
