I am branded a firebrand
How I long to share, this, my fire
But it doesn’t matter; it is only a desire!
The stars blossom into magnificent plumes at night
And I ask them if I am right
in believing that I share the same sky with you?
A vision that intersperses and overlaps,
despite the blindspot of a limited knowledge
There is somehow a reflection of you, in everything I do!
I remember those old theatres, dad and mum would take me to
with their dramatic lifting and falling curtains
and me, a child, sobbing in advance
anticipating an unfolding tragedy
But how would I, in my innocence, imagine the immense difficulty
of the real-life roads I had to take; that demanded utmost patience and sublimity
against the utter depths of relentless treachery!
My war paint being bravery and integrity
Is such inherent natural chrysalis a catalyst of fate?
Even when there was me seeking for you hopelessly in the maze
I have since come to realise that this is only an illusion
That, you and me, are like indelible spirits wafting above it all
Above the stars, above the universe, above space-time
in a dimension that is replete with our love
