How could you all admonish me?: A poem

(Don’t undermine God’s elasticity; forgiveness is only granted to those who deserve it!)

How could you all admonish me for my dignified unacknowledged resistance?

How could you think perseverance could humble to misdirected insistence?

I only took the initiative to lead you away from a misnomed garden of Eden

whose fruit were pruned to be eaten by ghostly hyenas arising from a distance

Did you think I was always only denying you your resplendent tea party?

Do you think that strange bedfellows make your dormitories much of a congruity?

I only took my honesty and integrity like an army determined by duty

You must know that souls I deem deserving don’t deserve the stumps of destiny

Paradise can’t have its woods devoured by poison out of an unholy liaison

These illegal bricklayers and construction companies have no right to God’s lands of integrity

I don’t have a will that is subordinated to the fancy of demons of desire

I have a crucible of culture that will not see the crucifixion of my eternal fire

My pain is painful, but it is reluctant to give in to the posture of immoral pleasure

Paradise is not a construct of concrete and glass furnished by an unseemly elite brass

It is native to its love, indigenous to its loyalty and powered by its purity

If you all want to lay off the virtue of God’s tradition for convenience and ease,

then you must be informed that God is bound to invalidate this figment of fantasy with not much lease
