Don’t dare tell me I’m losing time!: A poem

Don’t ever dare tell me that I am losing time

Eternity is a place that makes time sublime

What about the treachery that keeps buying time?

…To transfix its undeserved location in the Halls of the Divine!

I am not fixated on apocalypse, even if it may be due

I didn’t withdraw any frontiers; I am not abandoning truth

Not even if you wish me to settle for all your offered loot

I swear only deliverance and redemption fit my boot

I may be blindfolded, beleaguered, but brave; no slave

to all the sordid presumptions of that wizard of degrade

I swear, destiny’s handmaid never wears that unbecoming shade

of her succumbing to the tyrant’s manipulative blade

You can call it my adamant obstinacy and obduracy;

even obscurantism, if it suits your convenience and everybody’s

God didn’t even ask for salutation from his anointed Kings

He just laid down his life sublimely for all righteous things
