Immanuel Kant, is reason above everything, even above the soul?: A poem

Yes, knowledge can’t be automatic,

We can realise that we pick up along the way!

Our senses teach us, may be, even the idiosyncracies

and our follies. Everything seems like scientific reasoning, does it not?

I can see a child at play, learning to even love,

As if love was just a mere sensation? Kant? Or emotion,

for that matter? Do you think we start with no knowledge at all?

How come, even a child identifies a dog as a dog,

even with the vast dissimilarities in appearance

between one breed of dog and another?

Do our preferences, loyalties and allegiances

emerge only through senses triggering them, then understanding,

and finally, reason? Do we have reason to believe

that all our paranormalities and supernaturalism existing

from the beginning of humanity, a degeneration

of mental faculties into delusions? Was there any

reason in them? Was there any reason in constructing

Gobelki Tepi, Giza and Macchu Picchu? Is there any

logic in tangibilising  the non-corporeal? Is anything reverent beyond

reasoning? Is the imposing institution of religion

based on reasoning? Is mythology, a reasoning?

Are the authors of fiction, reasoning? Is the speedy

trajectory into the singularity propagated by AI,

a reasoning, or a failure to reason out the consequences?

Do we need to teach children fairy tales and

puerile children’s rhymes for a reason? Is the existence

of subconscious mind that understands symbolism, allegory

and the reading between the lines, reasoning? What is

the hard fact of reason?  Is cause and effect a reason?

What is reasoning? Can we make reasoning so universally

generic that it encompasses all knowledge, even of the

unknown, for your convenience, Kant? Did you go to your grave

with your belief and learn of its failure in the spiritual realm,

(particularly, the fallacy of your materialist ideology)

that you briefly returned to, before you reincarnated again,

to understand reason and its limitations?

Is instinct based on reason? Is Life, itself, and its

beginning and eventuality, based on reason? Does the perennial occlusion

of truth, by civilisation and its conventionalities be based

on understanding and reasoning? Is necessity rather than truth

a convenient reasoning? Do the bravehearts who were tortured,

murdered and burnt at the stake silly, stupid, foolish ignoramuses

in their reasoning? Is belief a reason? Is conviction based on reason?

Is faith (any kind of it, a reason). Is the selflessness

of some based on reasoning? Is connection with soul based on reason?

Are the global or gubernatorial institutions that mete out

their version of law, order, and justice based on propitious reasoning? Is historic

injustice based on reasoning? Is intuition a reasoning? Is spirituality

based on reason? Is the existence of the macrocosomal universe and the microcosmal cell

based on reasoning? Is God a reason?

And is the yearning for God’s ultimate justice a reasoning?

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
