O my pets, would Republican red be the colour of your heads (and spirit)? 

Am I being delusional in my reckoning 

that animals have allegiances. A profound understanding 

of ideological dimension? Do you think 

they are conceived as bodies with no soul? 

No embodiment beyond flesh and bones? 

I’ve had all my pets visit me after they departed, 

particularly, Phoenix, conveying their sadness 

and gladness to me. Do you think they have  

no connection with the spiritual or would it be my 

fantasy that they were replete with a wisdom 

that is absent among us, even as they lived? 

Are we the only custodians of knowledge,  

even the much-denied paranormal and supernatural? 

That only religion has the authority to mete out God? 

And there is no God in the soul of an animal? 

Just because Man’s ego is convinced, he is  

Master of all knowledge?  A slave to his ego, 

should I add? Does the sun have a mind, and all the planets in orbit? 

And what about having eternal souls? Who among us  

claims to be righteous? Did I not believe my pets were  

Righteous? Would you debunk my Trumpets as delusions? 

I have a Right to believe in their Righteousness?
