I am dancing; the thieves stand between me and my love!: A poem

I am forever dancing in a room filled with thieves

Like a tree where the connivers are plucking at my leaves

Would I be a conifer spiralling out of my heels?

My roots so unearthed and flying like teals

There is a dancer so distant, though I feel her fields

And I can be certain she is Paradise to my needs

I am just thinking an eternity seems to have passed

How did my breath sustain, how did I last?

And I don’t want to take the easy valley, for I am bravehearted Galahad!

All my love is destiny, the mountains that I’ve had

Every peak is my crown, so I’ll never drown

in the sea, they present me with; I’m just the God about town!

Would you want me on my knees; I’m no mendicant you can please

with all your monies; I just wouldn’t settle for all your cheese

It is you all who capitalised on my toil, even on my sleep!

Did you all Laborers take for granted, without thanks, it was I who gave you your lease?!
