What is my perception for all this perseverance?: A poem

You know the stars that we see,

are only a tiny fraction of the actual numbers they are!

And you know, the truth is somewhere out there, somewhere out there!

And it somehow, strangely overlaps our consciousness

And we haven’t dug deep enough within ourselves to discover it!

You see we encounter an atrophy with all our desires

This is, before we ask ourselves what are our actual fires?!

You know the atrophy is constantly making God smaller in our eyes

And the truth gets farther away, like everything in an expanding universe!

I just feel I am an embodiment of a galaxy, and it’s making me conjecture

that will it be an alchymical wedding when the neighbourhood galaxy comes and gets me?

I am just asking for a dragon to breathe its fire on me

so that all these sandcastles actually become the stone and bricks meant for me

But were these mirages only to confound as hallucination between my love and me?

Have I not delved deep enough, have I not seen (only a tragedy to unfold)?

Is it a crime to believe that we can touch the edges of the universe and even go farther beyond?

What can I imagine does it take to set us free?

I am not asking for the Tau particle with all its humongous infinitesimal density

Right now, I am only asking for the light of Jupiter to come shining down on me!

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
