Tell me…:A poem

Tell me

Life is not cruel

And truth is not deep

That I’ve been chasing

shadows in the street

Tell me

Love is the answer

But justice comes before

For the walk of God

is the strife therefore

Tell me

This is the reason

why it’s evil’s season

That dualism is the nuance

Before good has a chance

Tell me

God is just

And suffer we must

For before judgement dawns

we must be washed off the thorns

Tell me

Law and order

Doesn’t vindicate the corrupt

That to fight for propriety and honour

is just a lack of trust

In a system that simply caters to God’s providence

to which we must, by all means, show deference
