Inheritance: A poem

What is the inheritance from father to son

The reaping of material wealth when life is done

Or is it that one goes through life with sincere morality?

The principles to cherish which should be the actual duty

of a father to inculcate his children indelibly with

This is the education with which a home is truly lit

The wisdom that greater good is in believing

That what is verily a gain is the joyous living

When seldom matter the spoils of corrupt choices

But to heed the soul that echoes with righteous voices

To understand that greed is not the propriety teaching

But the will to be good which is life’s unforgettable mission

Money and wealth inherited cause no harm

But to seek them selfishly is the failure of spiritual calm

A father’s legacy to his son should be that of humility,

Of altruism, love, justice, dignity, integrity and purity

That is the inheritance that God would gladly bequeath us

For eternity is the real patrimony if we only learn to trust

I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
