The cocksure religions would have you believe
That the truth is in what they perceive
Where crosses and swords did relive
The callous subjugation of truth without reprieve
And those that deigned to follow the incorrigible deceit
Have their souls unmitigated by falsehoods receipt
For good is not begotten by practices of indulgence
And God is not beckoned by ritualistic sacraments
Truth is in the honour of dancing to propriety’s song
In repentance and paying by deeds when one has wronged
Salvation is not forthcoming from one saviour’s acts or words
It is in your own moral pathway that your soul will truly be heard
true true true and so well spun. you are a poetic genius
