Is it judicious to have preoccupying over-sized goals?
To let the frantic ambitions of the body and mind take hold?
When wanting of abundance becomes our sole motive
Forgetting altruism altogether for selfish prerogatives
When wants exceed needs one may have to resort to beggary
Or what is worse, one may have to deign to reckless thuggery
Can we escape the fact that self-indulgence and avarice are winless?
That desires beget added desires in a seemingly endless abyss
We would do well to rid ourselves of this intemperate hapless rot
For in being stoic and non-acquisitive we indeed gain a lot
True happiness is in sublimely and proudly accepting what we’ve got
And not ridiculously and shamelessly objectifying what we have not
For it is our souls that are rendered base when greed takes over
It is our umbilical cord with Godhood that we thus recklessly sever
In paradise it is the wealth of bliss that rules not money and power
What use are riches when insuperable death is the greatest leveler
Wow . Just too good
