Trying to be what I ought to be
That only nectar is honey to the bee
Yet the rainbow is only a play of light
The colours all blend to become white
My cup of sorrow is full to half
Beyond it, I dare to laugh
Pledging my aching limbs to a staff
I smile gracefully and show my class
What use to worry and furrow my brow
Consolation like sugar reverses the lows
I wish to die, but as long as I live
I’ll brave the tide and misfortune forgive
How true- must love , live and have the last laugh
