Atlantis: A poem

Between Leo and Virgo, and Virgo and Libra

the islands were made of crystalline stars

And their Titans flourished, sequestered by sea

A civilisation so exotic, lands so fair and free

Huge pillars of stone and Poseidon’s throne

Long-lived gods in these soils were borne

But a madness of evil grew in the bone

No amount of magic could quell that tone

And destiny spat and spelled so that it should go

For good relinquished to evil at every door

The proud and mighty scourged to the floor

Waves large as clouds settled the score

The rabbit couldn’t survive its fated hole

It slipped like an onion peel under south pole

They couldn’t save themselves for all their gold

The lost civilisation with a history never to be told

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
