Dearest pets: A poem

These little playful sounds

And the laughter in them resounds

I can revisit them, I can relive them

like candles that attempt

to keep alive in the wind

Innocent lives that never sinned

Human nature is at fault

But none such in purity’s vault

Love is laced with loyalty’s candour

Love is graced with salubrious grandeur

Not encumbered by moments; but timeless

With a belief in eternal access

Even time is a flame that dies

insignificantly, in perpetuity’s eyes

But the depth of faith has no grave

It is absolute, yet immeasurable like infinity’s wave

These little creatures that cannot talk

But leave a lasting impression on life’s walk
