If brightness kissed my face,
the most colourful flowers would laze
in my humble soul’s vase
I can smell the aroma of the wind
as it skirts from the horizon’s wings
And the hinges of laughter’s window sing
I take the river to the sea
If salt were honey to the bee,
sadness would be joy welling within me
The woes can never be encore
They won’t make my feelings sore
My spirit is long-lived like folklore
I imagine I wear a sequined dress
Diamonds caressing every tress
And when dusk arrives, dawn is in my breast
Tears are candour, but a smile is simple
A worry is only a passing pimple
It is in the darkest night that the most stars twinkle
this has made my heart sing. I shall read and reread this poem . So much brilliance on you and your poetry
