To those beautiful pets: A poem

All these magic, illuminating gardens

and their little beautiful wardens

An infinite space is a moment

A moment not encumbered by lament

A creature is a child whatever form

A loyalty that goes beyond norm

This growth of spirit like a storm

But pleasant, pleasure like seamless dawn

And I will pick every stone, by them, marked

That bright comfort shallows everything that’s dark

When nothing in this world makes sense

to see it all with simple immense love’s lens

For, to know the quiet dignity of innocence

To know the depth of purity’s essence

And in such presence are the sweet roses

Speechless love is always closest

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
