Do you see…?: A poem

Do you see?

that my temperament is like the breeze

I have motion like the seas

But the moon chains my knees

Compassion and fury are equally burdens

Pastel at times, and harsh sudden

I can see my earth redden

And then it can turn too wooden

Do you understand?

that I have humility’s strand

It is in my shoes

that travel far like the news

Momentary flares dissipate with a sigh

Apologies spring forth when they are nigh

Though passions can be very high

I can never hurt even a fly

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
