Brave silence: A poem

I am radioed to thoughts

wavelengths of sorts

They become me

Their figments I alone can see

I dissect them in my mind

and their entrails I find

are encrusted with diamonds and pearls

And within their worlds, I swing and swirl

While my mind is motion, my lips are sealed

like a barrow, a cart without wheels

I could feel the grace of a swallow facing the gallows

but no death row can make my spirits hollow

For my soul is no toy

Its freedom is my joy

The wisdom I employ

is brave silence is never coy

The dragon is never wan

They can’t make him a man

The devil and deep sea can

keep trying every sham

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
