A panegyric to James the Just (Yakov): A poem

(I am the reincarnation of James the Just. My beloved Sarah has also reincarnated, and is still very much mine)

He was born to be Godly stubborn

To know his norm was not time-worn

A solid form that didn’t fall to con

He didn’t need water, though he was cousin to John

He had a will that was so thick

like sunlight can’t pass through a brick

Undaunted by any evil Tom, Harry and Dick

He was daring as a boy and wise as a walking stick

His beloved was Sarah, who was, for perpetuity, his

Life’s fate can go amiss, but eternal bliss shall kiss

And he could fool the Romans with many a trick

He was the custodian of such confounding magic

But Alas!  Saint Paul the liar and maniac

murdered him with a stony flak

And more woe! For he was erased from all records by the evil Church

whose lies spread throughout humanity’s perch

This is an ode to the actual chosen one

who was hated by the malevolent sun

He did not, posterity’s fame, inherit

But God saw that he was eternally starlit
