Divided we stand, united we fall: A poem

It’s all over history, a seen unknown mystery

that, in defeat, there could be a blessed victory

There is hope in a seeming misbegotten trajectory

God lives valiantly in a hapless war-torn factory

And you can take the ends, and see that light bends

Water is no heaven, on what your belief system depends

The universe is no mere nomenclature, it is really then

what names are given to whichever, as symbols descend

These hedgerows in the neighbourhood are not mere wood

There are voices in every distance, may it be understood

The fish is no meal, when, ultimately, it actually could

make a meal of you, or the venomous scorpion would

And if you know the secrets, may you prevent your fall

For, there is so much tribulation in the very long haul

God knows much better that unwelcome division is his call

lest the evil of the devil or deep sea take every and all

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
