A poem to my eternal love: A poem

Even the universe is not alone

And it is a school where lessons are learnt

where countless eyes seek

places of ultimate repositories

There are no gift-wrapped presentations, however,

There are no bouquets with luminescent messages

telling you it is as easy as a walk in a garden

You must wait…be as patient as a desert

expecting the earth’s geography to change

The skies only descend after long lengths of time

when even shadows become as corporeal as spirits

that feel like eternity in the arms of The Supreme

And I always knew the woods of my life

would not outlast the soul of my earth

because of the warmth of your fire

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
