Faith’s armour: A poem

Two stones grating against each other

laughing out a miracle spark

The stars are shining, O Father!

Dancing out the dark

And I will also dance to the divine

The soul’s thread is very fine

Winter’s cold fingers on my spine

can’t take me away from Thine

The magician’s hat is full of tricks

A scarf turns to a pile of bricks

He has a one-eyed candle

with a trillion illuminated wicks

And my soul knows Thy glamour

No unseemly mob in the clamour

All suffering I have treated with humour

When faith in Thy wonder is my armour

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
