Those great distances between you and me: A poem

I have sensed

the mega-accordion of the universe

play a disguised victory

And I have walked all the way to you

only to fall flat on my face

But I did not tell you I was exhausted

How Quasimodo will take you away from me again?!

Yet, we can burn the distances like stars

Though we know that even the skies have boundaries

of heliospheres dauntingly raging hot

How can celestials ever meet then?

Can God see that our silent tears

made the rivers of time?

And his most-cherished creations were foiled

by the rebellion of light?

Were we given swords of fire

that could never be blunted?

That we should deal with the treachery roaming free

which is still not shunted
