You gave me breath: A poem

You gave me breath

the vapour of sustenance

I created you

and you created me

We were within

and without

Likewise

what arrives and does arise

The God particle

and the Goddess

Father and Mother

incomparable, peerless, like no other

The universe knows

what we show

that it is only all rock

without our primordial stock

Even life is bereft

of soul without our gift

Do you remember

the embers

when the alien

curse of deep-sea men

took us away?

How the accursed day

came to stay

for the truth, to waylay!

And a soulless crit(ter)

a devouring spirit

made paradise’s crust rust

in the mists of dust

and there was lust

How did everything go bust?!

We can only pray

that somehow, in some way

all this eternity

will get back its dignity!

Hi, I am Monte Cyril Rodrigues and live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a retired journalist. I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I've had voices and visions all my life. I think it is a spiritual experience, my doctors think otherwise. I am a deeply spiritual person and keep having experiences with otherworldly realms.
