You may think forgiveness is your pearl
that you may bequeath to an enemy
so, he can adorn as his own gem
There is more courage in being brave,
in the ability to call a spade a spade
Nonchalance is the spirit of the greatest age
when you believe: receive what one deserves
For magnanimity should not involve undermining
one’s soul; You are a native of your own soil
You have the right to burn your own oil
There is no blame of witchcraft in a fortress
of a wizard who, his own self-worth, respects
Be it known to the world that beseeches
it is its own convenience for which it reaches
You must never be the heart that commits the sin
of hypocrisy, to please brethren, and vindicate the villain
And you must realise that there are few words
for treason; and fewer still, for it to be forgiven
Be it known that he who knocks your door for mercy
only because he has no agility, but swollen feet
if he had the opportunity and power to
would his treachery sodomisingly repeat
Bro- I get what you are trying to say , but disagree with the idea that you think forgiveness is the opposite to ‘calling out a spade’. Forgiveness is more a pearl/ a gem the forgiver wears , rather than the forgiven. Just my thoughts and thought to share.
keep writing Bro and expressing yourself – you have the gift of the pen, so many of us have voices that are muffled and words that are not able to be fleshed out on paper
