You all may be vulnerable, but are culpable for my gullibility: A poem

I was never carved out of wood or alabaster

I can say, I am an icon within myself

Those decades when I hid deep within myself

because all that evil was trying to read the mind of God;

and still is! Would you think God would have to seek to find himself;

even when his identity was stolen by evil thieves?

Have they thought they could break the will of God?

with the snatching of his entities, and causing him pain?

There are memorabilia, even if its distance is daunting;

Even if they engage him in blind man’s buff?

Does villainy have a conscience to instill such impotency

that the purpose of his sublimity must be defeated?

You all may not be one in God; but should you comply with evil

such a unity has no integrity nor dignity!

My magic is not bequeathed to evil even if they kill me

Even if they bring me down to my knees with treachery

This is an old story; so many of my lives have been mired in it

There are no defences when evil claims my endeavour

And my creation is turned against me

Do you think you can all escape blame if you hold me culpable

and seek the easy ways out for yourselves!

I can only tell you all to inspect your conscience

Even if you all are vulnerable, you all have a hand in the treachery

And I never did rue my gullibility; for it all adds up to all your crimes against me!
