Like Hamlet said: Remember, I have sworn it!: A poem

(At least, I have a sense of humour, not a sense of villainy or treachery!)

Why would so many bravehearts never retract,

even with the prospect of being burnt at the stake,

if they hadn’t already been burning with the conviction of truth?

All your Church, and all your State, may never meet its fate(?!)

Ask Rome, or Babylon, every Jew knows that he has a Masada in his soul!

Did you dream, or would you just let go! There is no weather

that can take your might down when you believe in yourself!

Even if you must go down fighting!

For, the evil of Man keeps living after him!

Yet, the shorn hand of the brave diviner leaves a stain on history

You have no idea that ghosts come back to haunt; even

if you do not have any guilt, conscience or shame!

There is a long-coming of an answer blowing in the winds in the alleys of destiny

that knows how to award the one who walked alone!

Do you think it could only be poetic justice, or closure?

Yes, the present makes no sense; yes, the cul-de-sac is daunting!

Yes, England was always too strong for Scotland!

And King James could never be an English King!

What would be my temperament in a temporal vacuousness of no gain?

When the seeming lines of battle have a conclusion foregone

that we can never have victory, unless we ally with our enemies

because the enemy sure knows how to hijack our friends, even our victories, and make them his own?!

So let it be that the defeat be the only stake!

My livery will never be that of the enemy

PSP, do you know, me, the old Father figure, has so much blood in him?

It could stain your hands for all eternity, so that you will be washing your hands all the time;

Even when it’s time…to bed, to bed, to bed! Hell is not the murkiest place around!

There seems more treacherous brine than blood in you, PSP! But the worthy soldier is never afraid!

Would you wonder then that: All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten your hands?

I am never prone to study and regret the senselessness and hopelessness of it all!

A present lost in futility, may be an eternity?

But that doesn’t mean the humiliation of my convictions be my humility

Even if all the peers seem to be advising me against my belief systems and intuition

Should you know, you smiling damned villain, PSP!

Remember, I have sworn it!
