All about natives and foreigners!: A poem

Tell me, if those that pretended to be virtuous

were actually colliding with justice! Written history’s

sheaves are no crumpled pages, but leathered logs

in libraries of a conspired narrative. Victims being

made villains! You can see, that demons come in

disguise, like attractive gods with their flax hair, blue

eyes and alabaster complexions; that they have swords

behind their scapulas, on ships that stank of their

vomit and gave us more verminous poison than just disease and

death! You can tell how we have learnt to genuflect

to that haloed crucifix without the awareness that

we have arse-bended to lend ourselves; our haplessness and

hopelessness not to mention, some martyrs died with pride!

That our cottage industries were wiped out and we were

given poverty and misery for our accepting their Christianity!

What about those vast stolen lands, stolen peoples, lost

gernerations…What about some of our natives welcoming

so gullibly the treason as God-sent. You know how our countries made

so little sound when the huge axe fell on our trunks! Our

forests were divided at their whim, so when we got our

freedom in absolute impoverishment, we made war on

each other and made them wealthier by buying their ammo

to fight our wars! And you tell me now, how much imperialistic aid

is there in abetting the imperialism itself. Look at all the

institutions of the world, how proudly they stand with them,

only meant to further their wealth and power and keep us poor!

And how our land-wealth is still being siphoned off by their imposing MNCs!

So, there is a stranglehold that must not be broken!

For if you are a rebel, aren’t you shattering the peace and justice of the

World Order?! Like we all don’t know who the Global rules-based Order

is meant for! Like there is greater justice when our prized possessions

are proudly exhibited in their museums; so, we must give their tourism

a boost when we visit our own sites; and they think it is not

our birthright to have them back! What is the confusion now,

between your land and my land?… when like paupers we abandoned

our lands for yours, because you all left us so dilapidated that

we looked for better lives, albeit with no pride, inferior citizens in your lands.

And are the Americas and the Australias your lands as well?

Think honestly about the rapine before your false egos claim which is which!
